20.3” Aluminum Mini Tripod with Ball Head & Phone Mount — Compact Travel Stand
Review
All-metal construction: The tripod body, legs and ball head are crafted from aluminum alloy, designed to avoid flex or drift while supporting camera setups up to 6.6 lb. Despite its strength, it stays lightweight enough for travel at about 1.61 lb.
Compact, adjustable stature: The five-section legs fold down to approximately 6.5" to slip into camera bags or backpacks. Twist-lock leg sections extend from about 7.48" up to 20.28", making the stand useful for desktop livestreams, countertop product shots, low ground angles, and vlogging.
Ball head and leveling: A precision-machined 360° ball head enables smooth panning; a 90° tilt switches quickly between horizontal and vertical framing. Dual bubble levels help keep horizons straight, and the quick-release plate includes a safety pin to secure your camera.
Flexible stance and mounting options: Three leg-angle positions (standard, wide, fully splayed) let you shoot at eye level, on uneven surfaces, or extremely low to the ground. The tripod includes three 1/4" accessory ports to mount LED lights, microphones or monitors, and a weight hook for added stability when needed.
What’s included and compatibility: The kit ships with a carrying pouch and a phone holder that accepts phones roughly 2.5"–3.5" wide, plus a quick-release plate with 1/4" mounting screw that fits cameras and many accessories. It’s compatible with mirrorless and DSLR cameras from Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Panasonic and others, as well as compact gimbals and action cameras.
Pros
- Sturdy all-aluminum construction resists sag and drift
- Compact folding size with wide height range
- Smooth ball head with vertical tilt and bubble levels
Cons
- Leg locks can be stiff until broken in
- Quick-release head uses screw clamp style rather than snap-in QR
- Phone holder fits a limited width range
VerdictA robust, travel-friendly tabletop tripod that trades plastic for a fully machined aluminum build. It provides secure support for mirrorless and DSLR setups, smooth ball-head control for landscape and vertical framing, and useful extras—phone mount, quick-release plate with safety pin, accessory ports, and a weight hook—that make it a versatile studio and on-the-go solution.

Good travel companion with useful features
Folds very small and is simple to operate. Quick-release plate works with my other CAMBOFOTO accessories, and the dual levels plus phone holder are handy. Leg angle settings are flexible; some leg joints are a bit stiff at first but tend to loosen with use.

Another winner from CAMBOFOTO — compact and refined
Arrived fast and well packed. I already own other gear from the brand, and this little stand feels premium for the size. It includes a pouch and phone adapter, and the machined ball head is smooth, locks firmly, and feels far superior to the cheap plastic heads on many mini tripods. The legs are solidly made as well.

Premium feel — no sag or drift
Significant upgrade over plastic mini tripods. Metal legs and head hold position reliably once locked. Five-section twist locks give a wide range from under 8" up to over 20", three leg angles aid versatility, and two bubble levels make leveling straightforward. Folds down small for easy transport.

Ideal tabletop stand for phones and full cameras
Works well with the included phone clamp and also accepts full-size cameras via the plate. The head uses a screw-style retention rather than a snap-in QR, but adapters exist if you prefer a different quick-release system. Legs use pull-and-twist locks, the center column reverses for very low shots, and there’s a weight hook for windy conditions.

Versatile for close-ups and easy to stash
Bought for macro and close-up work and it delivers. The tripod collapses impressively small and offers a surprising range of angles. If a leg button feels stuck, move the leg slightly inward then press the release — that usually frees it. The rubber feet provide good grip.

Precision aluminum build — confidence for serious use
Unlike many flimsy tabletop mounts, this one is rock-solid. Great for desktop streaming or raising a camera for Zoom, strong enough for long-exposure macro work with bigger mirrorless bodies, and compact for travel vlogging. Design and stability are excellent.

Sturdy metal tripod well suited to night shots
Craftsmanship is excellent and the all-metal parts eliminate sag during long exposures. The locks clamp tightly so the camera stays put even on uneven surfaces, and the heavier, solid feel helps resist breezes during star photography. Low-angle leg positions are useful for framing.
