CLEAR CARE Hydrogen Peroxide Contact Lens Cleaner — 12 fl oz Two-Pack
Review
Bubbling action that removes visible debris: The solution is formulated to work with the supplied special contact lens case to produce a clear bubbling action. Those bubbles help lift away dirt, protein and tiny particles so lenses come out looking and feeling refreshed.
Triple-action cleaning power: The formula contains 3% hydrogen peroxide to disinfect and help dissolve protein, oils and other buildup. A built-in surface cleaner assists by loosening deposits so they are lifted away during the soak. This deep-clean approach is intended for daily use to keep lenses free of residue.
Preservative-free comfort: Unlike many multipurpose solutions, this product is free of preservatives, which can reduce irritation for sensitive wearers. It is compatible with soft contact lenses as well as rigid gas-permeable (RGP) lenses when used as directed.
Special case required: The system must be used with the included lens case. That case contains a platinum disc that catalyzes the peroxide so that after a minimum of six hours the peroxide is neutralized and converted to a gentle, saline-like liquid. Domed lens baskets suspend each lens in the solution to allow thorough exposure without manually rubbing the lenses.
How to use: Place each lens into the correctly marked holder (L/R), fill the case with solution to the fill line, and close the cap securely. Store the case upright and allow at least six hours for neutralization before removing lenses. Do not apply this solution directly into the eye. Always discard used solution and follow your eye care professional’s guidance.

VerdictThis peroxide-based cleaner uses an included special case to produce a visible bubbling action that loosens and lifts away deposits, offering a deeper clean than most multipurpose solutions. Its 3% hydrogen peroxide formula disinfects, breaks down protein and grime, and—once neutralized by the case’s platinum disk—turns into a gentle saline-like fluid. Because it contains no preservatives it’s a g

Dependable for years of use
I’ve relied on this brand for a long time. When used daily it keeps monthly lenses in good shape and provides effective disinfection without burning after the required soak. The two-pack is handy and the bottle size suits regular use, though I wouldn’t call it travel-friendly.

Deep, reliable clean — my regular choice
I've bought this two-pack several times. The peroxide formula removes protein and leaves lenses feeling like new each morning. My eyes stay comfortable and irritation-free compared with multipurpose solutions. Follow the instructions and let the case neutralize for the full six hours—never put this solution in your eyes. The two-bottle set is convenient and lasts a long time.

Deep cleaning—just follow the time rule
This cleans lenses thoroughly. It’s important to leave lenses in the solution for six hours before wearing them; otherwise it can cause burning.

Let them soak overnight
This is a cleaning soak, not a quick refresher. I learned to always let contacts sit overnight before putting them back in—don’t rush it.

Truly changed how clean my lenses stay
Switching to peroxide stopped the heavy buildup I used to get from allergies and makeup. My monthly lenses stay clearer and I’ve even stretched their usable life. Important warning: if you get this in your eyes it will burn intensely. Rinse immediately with saline and seek help if needed.

Does what my doctor recommended
My eye doctor suggested switching to peroxide for better cleaning, and it delivered. Lenses last longer and feel cleaner than with standard solutions. Remember: lenses must soak six hours or you risk severe stinging. The carrier basket is compact and works well for travel, but you must use the supplied case—not a regular flat case.

Best disinfecting solution I’ve found
Nothing I’ve tried removes deposits and disinfects as thoroughly. Works for both hard and soft lenses when used as instructed.

Effective cleaning for hard lenses
Tried this with rigid lenses and it cleaned them without causing burning as long as I respected the six-hour neutralization. The only downside is the long waiting time.

Great for scleral lenses when used properly
Works very well to keep scleral lenses clean. I soak overnight and notice my eyes feel much fresher. Follow the instructions carefully because the peroxide will burn if it hasn’t been fully neutralized. I typically use it once a week for my lenses.

Recommended by my eye doctor
An optometrist recommended this to me years ago and I’ve kept using it. It cleans well and has been reliable over time.

Works great but handle with care
I wouldn't travel with it because the lens holder has a vent and the bottle can leak. I once splashed a little on my finger and it stung and made skin look irritated until it washed off. That said, the bubbling action in the case cleans lenses very well. Be cautious to avoid skin or clothing contact and always keep it upright while soaking.
