Three-Layer Microphone Pop Filter — Mesh, Foam & Fabric Windscreen
Review
Compatibility and sizing
This pop filter is built to fit microphones with diameters between 45 mm and 63 mm, covering many common condenser and USB models (examples include popular AT, MXL, NT, CAD, BM and similar microphone families). Important: it is not compatible with some oversized models such as the Blue Yeti.
Three-layer construction
The shield combines a foam layer, a metal mesh layer and a fine fabric (etamine) layer. These three elements work together to dissipate sudden air bursts, reduce plosive consonants and limit wind and breath artifacts while preserving vocal clarity.
What’s included
The package contains the pop filter assembly, an inner rubber sealing ring and elastic bands used to secure the filter to the microphone. Spare bands are supplied to replace worn ones when needed.
Materials and build
The frame is made of lightweight plastic paired with a synthetic metal mesh and soft foam and fabric inner layers. High-quality rubber bands and a resilient rubber inner ring help hold the unit firmly in place while helping protect the microphone’s finish from direct contact and saliva.
Installation and use
Assembly is fast: stretch the elastic bands around the filter pegs and seat the rubber ring against the mic head, or fit the bands first on thicker microphones and then mount the filter. The compact profile keeps the mic visible and unobtrusive while providing effective pop protection for speaking and singing. If you encounter any issues, customer support is available for assistance.

- Fits many 45–63 mm microphones
- Compact, low-profile design
Cons
- Not compatible with oversized mics like some models
- Elastic bands can wear with time
- May need adjustment for thick-bodied microphones
VerdictA compact, effective pop shield that tames plosives and protects microphone capsules without bulk. The triple-layer construction (foam, metal mesh, and fine fabric) reduces pops, breath noises and wind artifacts while letting vocals remain clear. It fits most 45–63 mm diameter mics, installs fast with elastic bands and an inner rubber ring, and uses durable synthetic mesh and quality rubber for lo

Compact, durable and reliable
Does the job cleanly, fits securely, stays out of the way, and seems built to last. Affordable and well made — you likely won’t need to replace it soon.

Does exactly what it promises
Does its job perfectly — removes plosives and heavy breaths while keeping singing natural. I’ve used it for days on a Rode NT-1 and it fits well. Straps feel sturdy and it even came with a spare set. Highly satisfied.

Works well on a Blue Yeti (with a trick)
Despite some critiques online, it fits my Blue Yeti when you put the bands on first, then slide the filter on with the hooks up. Lightweight, easy to adjust and unobtrusive — tall enough for my setup and effective where it counts.

Fits snugly and protects voice recordings
Used on a 1-inch large-diaphragm condenser and it clamps on precisely, taming P and other explosive sounds without dulling highs. Replacement rubber bands are included, which is a big plus.

Doesn’t get in the way
Easy to attach. I disliked large circular pop shields that block view; this one is streamlined and unobtrusive, which is great for on-camera setups.

Filter works but strap failed
The shield controlled harsh sounds nicely, but the rubber band tore after a few months of ordinary use. The band wasn’t overstretched. A few extra spares would be appreciated.

Great budget option that overperforms
Using it on a Sennheiser mic and it made a noticeable difference. I flipped it for dial access but function is excellent for the cost. Includes spare bands and is a reliable spit guard for non-studio budgets.

Good value, sturdy and dependable
Ideal for a desk mic—small, unobtrusive and effective at reducing pops for calls, gaming and recording. Portable and easy to fit; comes with two spare bands and a 12-month warranty.

Effective and stylish upgrade
Performs like the pop screen that came with my mic but looks much better and takes up less space. Install the bands across all four pegs for stability. It makes a cheap mic setup look far more professional.

Surprisingly capable for the price
I was skeptical because it’s small and inexpensive, but as a composer and VO artist I used it for a long session and it handled plosives very well. Minimalist but solid build; arrived quickly and the initial smell was negligible.
