SMA Female-to-Female Barrel Adapter — 2-Pack SMA Couplers
Review
These are SMA female-to-female coaxial barrel adapters supplied as a two-piece set. They are intended to join two male SMA terminations — for example, linking an antenna lead to a radio, SDR, WLAN device, FPV transmitter, or coax patch cable. They are not F-type connectors; confirm your device uses SMA before installing.
The center contact and the surrounding housing are manufactured from brass to offer improved conductivity and lower reflected energy. The adapters are produced to a 50 ohm impedance standard and are designed to perform with a VSWR at or below 1.1, keeping insertion loss minimal. The parts are suitable for RF use to a maximum frequency of 6 GHz.
These couplers use an in-series coaxial adapter layout and are built to common RF component industry tolerances. They work well with cellular and portable radio gear that uses SMA interfaces, and they are especially useful when antenna and radio connectors are both male. A small wrench can be used on the knurled middle section to get firm, controlled torque during tightening or removal.
Note that these SMA female adapters are not compatible with TV F-type connectors. Package contents: 2 × SMA female-to-female barrel coax adapters.
Pros
- Solid brass center for good conductivity
- 50 Ω design with low VSWR to 6 GHz
- Includes two adapters for quick spares
Cons
- Not compatible with F-type TV connectors
- Finished in bright metal (not black) — more visible
- Small size can be fiddly without a tool
VerdictSolidly built 2-pack of SMA female-to-female barrel adapters that make linking antennas, coax, SDRs and handheld radios simple. Brass internals and a 50 Ω design keep losses low up to 6 GHz. Handy, inexpensive, and reliable for most RF hobby and field tasks—just verify connector type before buying.

Ideal for connecting a Baofeng to an external antenna
Exactly what I needed to link my Baofeng handheld to an SMA-male antenna. The knurled middle gives a good grip so it doesn’t slip when tightening or loosening.

Does the job
I added this to a radio adapter kit and the style matches what I prefer for handhelds. I haven’t lab-tested them, but performance in daily use has been fine.

Neat, compact fit
Small and discreet, mates antenna to radio perfectly. Would be nicer in a black finish to match most radios.
