Superlight Soccer Shin Guards — Medium Youth Protection
Review
Size: Medium — recommended for players up to 5'3", typically ages 6–12.
What you get: one pair of Superlight shin guards featuring a hard, abrasion-resistant outer shell and a foam-cushioned interior. The guards have a symmetrical shape so they can be used on either leg, and chrome-accented details for a sporty look.
Construction and use: The exterior is a high-density impact shield that disperses force, while the inner high-density foam increases energy absorption and comfort. Two adjustable self-stick straps secure each guard to the leg and help maintain position during running and contact. These are intended for match and practice use where lightweight protection and ease of wear are priorities.
Pros
- Lightweight and comfortable for extended wear
- Durable outer shield with foam impact absorption
- Dual adjustable straps keep guards securely in place
Cons
- May run large for some users
- Limited coverage area compared with full-leg guards
- Velcro straps can irritate skin without tall socks
VerdictThese Superlight shin guards deliver solid impact protection without the bulk. A high-density outer shield paired with foam cushioning absorbs hits during practice and games while remaining light enough for younger players. The symmetrical profile fits either leg, and the dual self-stick straps help keep the guards in place. Overall, a practical choice for youth players who need dependable protect

Perfect for non-soccer protection
Bought these for my husband who splits wood — his shins were always getting scraped. They protect well, fit around his legs, and stay put. Very glad we got them.

Good spare pair for overlapping seasons
Needed a second set so I wouldn't move my main pair between bags. These are fine for an hour a game. Coverage is long on my 5'4" frame; straps can rub—tall socks help.

Good build but sizing runs big
Solid construction and rigid shell, but they were too large for my son despite ordering his size. Straps stretch and hold them in place; color matches photo.

Lightweight with a bit extra padding
Used these for matches. Padding is somewhat bulky but likely ideal for younger players. Comfortable, light, and fits under socks.

Small but exactly what we needed
These are compact and don't cover much area, which suited my kids perfectly. Adults would find them undersized, but they've held up across several seasons.

Easy to put on for gym use
Simple shin pads with velcro straps that are quick to attach and remove. I wear them for deadlifts to protect my shins from the bar's knurling.

Fit our kids perfectly
Bought two pairs for my 5- and 7-year-old daughters. They fit well and stay put. Great value given how fast kids outgrow gear.

Very comfortable for young kids
My 4-year-old son loves them and never complains. They fit now and should work next year as well.
