FIVEIZERO Seam Ripper & Scissors Sewing Kit — 2 Large + 2 Small
Review
Four-Piece Dual-Size Seam Ripper Set — This kit contains two larger seam rippers measuring about 5.5 inches and two smaller rippers around 3.5 inches. The larger tools are aimed at heavier materials and bulkier seams, while the compact ones offer more control for lightweight fabrics and delicate stitching.
Color and Construction — The set ships in two color schemes: a bright red pair and a black/white pair to help you organize or match your workspace. Each ripper features a small red protective ball on the blade tip to help prevent snags and accidental fabric punctures. Protective caps are included for safe storage and transport.
Stainless-Steel Thread Snips — A single premium stainless-steel scissor is provided with the set for precise thread trimming. The scissor is designed to hold a sharp edge for clean cuts, complementing the seam rippers to form a complete small-tool kit for sewing and crafting.
How to Use — Use the larger seam rippers for thicker seams, upholstery, or multiple seam allowances; switch to the smaller rippers for hems, embroidery, or delicate fabrics where precision matters. The safety ball shields fabric while the blade removes stitches; caps can be placed on the handle to extend reach and improve handling.
Applications and Support — Intended for quilting, garment repair, alterations, embroidery, and general crafting. Suitable for beginners learning to unpick seams as well as experienced sewists seeking a compact, multi-size solution. The manufacturer offers responsive customer support to answer questions and resolve issues after purchase.
Pros
- Two sizes for both heavy and delicate fabrics
- Sharp stainless-steel scissors included
- Protective tip and caps for safe use and storage
Cons
- Not a premium professional toolset
- Smaller rippers may be too tiny for some users
- Some users may expect a needle threader
VerdictA solid, practical set that covers most household and craft sewing needs. The two larger 5.5" rippers tackle sturdy fabrics and the 3.5" pair is better for fine work. The included stainless-steel scissors remain sharp for trimming threads, and the safety ball on each ripper helps avoid fabric damage. Useful protective caps and the option to lengthen the grip add convenience. Not premium-grade, but

Good for money
Performs well overall, though the very tip of the ripper feels a bit bulky for precision work.

Useful and easy to use
Very helpful for sewing tasks. The rippers slice through stitches cleanly and the assorted tools feel well made. A handy kit to keep around the house.

Great kit for sewing tools
I've relied on the two larger rippers and the small scissors repeatedly. They stay sharp and are easy to handle. The tiny rippers are probably too small for my needs, but the overall bundle is excellent value.

Great price for useful odds and ends
Nice little collection of replacement tools. The spring scissors are nimble and sharp, the ripper grips are comfortable, and the caps can be used to lengthen handles for better control. All those small items that usually wear out came together in a compact set.

Average quality
Pictures showed a carrying case but mine arrived without one twice. Overall quality felt average rather than high-end.

No video
Tools are good but I would have liked a needle threader included or a quick how-to video. Otherwise satisfactory.
