NBR Foam Baby Corner & Edge Protectors — 1.8in × 6.6ft Safety Strip
Review
Premium NBR foam construction
Manufactured from high-density NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber) foam, this corner and edge protector is made to absorb impacts and reduce the risk of bumps from furniture corners. The foam measures approximately 1.8 inches wide and is supplied as a single 6.6-foot strip you can trim to the lengths you need.
Industrial-strength adhesive and safe materials
The backing uses a food-grade acrylic adhesive formulated for strong initial tack and longer-term hold on clean, dry surfaces. The materials are described as non-toxic and free from BPA and phthalates, making them suitable for nurseries and other child-oriented spaces.
L-shaped profile and visual fit
The protector features an L-shaped cross section to cover both top and side edges. Its neutral shades are selected to blend well with oak, walnut and other darker wood finishes so the padding doesn’t stand out. The strip can be cut with scissors to fit table edges, cabinet doors, bed frames, stairs, and fireplaces.
How to install and use
Clean and dry the surface thoroughly before applying. Measure and trim the 6.6ft strip to the required lengths, peel the adhesive liner, and press firmly along the edge. For best adherence, apply steady pressure for several seconds. Designed to cushion sharp corners and soften impact zones around the home, in nurseries, kitchens, daycares and public spaces.
Pros
- Thick NBR foam cushions impacts effectively
- Industrial acrylic adhesive for strong mounting on flat surfaces
- L-shaped profile and neutral colors suit darker wood furniture
Cons
- Can be difficult to wrap tight, sharp corners
- Adhesion needs a clean, dry surface and may require extra fastening
- Single long strip must be trimmed to fit multiple spots
VerdictA robust foam option for childproofing sharp edges: dense NBR foam provides good padding while the industrial-grade acrylic adhesive aims for a secure hold on flat surfaces. The L-shaped profile and wood-friendly colors make it discreet on many furniture pieces. Best results on straight or slightly rounded edges; careful surface prep and trimming are usually needed. Too pricey and peels off fast
Nice material but the tape gives way quickly; it didn’t stay stuck for even a couple of hours. Bought it for crib slats and dining table corners and it kept coming off. Very disappointing.

Smart idea, weak hold
Clever design but the adhesive is weak, especially around corners. I had to secure some pieces with extra tape; once fixed it performs okay.

Good for chair and table edges
Very soft foam and the adhesive grips well on flat surfaces. Not great for wrapping around sharp corners—works best where the edge is slightly rounded.
