128-Pack Plastic Embroidery Floss Bobbins — Thread Organizer Cards
Review
Contents: 128 plastic bobbins sized for embroidery and cross-stitch thread.
Dimensions & material: Each card measures about 3.8 cm long by 3.6 cm wide (roughly 1.5 x 1.4 inches). They’re molded from durable, waterproof plastic that won’t collapse like cardboard and stands up to repeated use.
Design features: The flat, smooth finish prevents snagging while winding. Each bobbin includes two small thread clips to tuck the ends in place and a hole at the top so you can keep groups together on a keyring or binder ring.
How to use: Wind leftover strands or partial skeins around a single card, tuck the tail into one of the clips to secure it, and write color codes or notes on the surface with a marker for fast identification.
Applications: Ideal for organizing loose floss, short skeins, or even narrow washi tape. Keeps assorted threads neat in craft boxes, makes-it-easy to see colors at a glance, and helps avoid tangles and waste.
Pros
- Durable, waterproof plastic resists bending
- Two clips and top hole for neat storage on a ring
- Compact size makes color sorting and labeling simple
Cons
- Thread-retaining slits can be a bit wide for thin strands
- Some pieces may have rough edges from molding
- Not as rigid as premium specialty bobbins
VerdictA practical, economical kit for stitchers who want to tame leftover floss. The hard plastic cards resist bending and moisture, include two small clips per card to secure thread ends, and have a hole to keep multiples on a ring. Not perfect — some users find the slits a bit roomy — but overall a solid way to sort, label, and preserve threads between projects.

Solid and organized
Before these I used scraps from boxes. These feel sturdy and didn’t bend when I wrapped the floss tightly, so winding was simple and consistent.

Way better than cardboard
I used to use cut-up cardboard to separate colors. These plastic cards are a big upgrade — they store neatly in my craft box and make each shade easy to find. I’ll probably add another pack later.

Tidy solution for leftover skeins
Great for winding scraps from a skein — one color per card. The hole lets you put them all on a metal ring for safekeeping, and you can mark DMC numbers with a Sharpie to reserve a card for a specific shade.

Good for beginners
I’m new to embroidery and needed a way to keep floss managed. These work well, though I’m still learning how to tuck the ends so they don’t slip out of the wider slits. Still, they’ve made my threads much neater.

They work, but QC varies
They held my thread as advertised and are thick enough not to bend. Downsides: a few had rough flashing on the edges and many slits are roomy so thread can slip if not wrapped carefully. Still enough for my needs.
