Jancane Phono Turntable Preamp with RCA/TRS Outputs and Power Switch
Review
Convert phono output to line level
This phono preamp accepts low-level signal from a magnetic turntable cartridge and boosts it to standard line level, so you can connect your record player to amplifiers, powered speakers, or mixers without a dedicated phono input.
Low-noise amplification
The unit uses low-noise operational amplifiers to preserve detail and keep background noise to a minimum. The result is a cleaner, more accurate reproduction of your vinyl compared with plugging directly into a non-phono input.
Inputs, outputs, and power
Connections include stereo RCA inputs for the turntable and both stereo RCA and 1/4" TRS outputs for feeding an amp or monitor. A DC 12V power adapter is supplied in the box, and a front-panel power switch lets you turn the unit on and off without unplugging.
Build, size, and use
Housed in a compact metal enclosure with plastic control elements, the preamp is designed to sit on a shelf or next to a turntable. Approximate footprint: 110 x 70 x 28 mm, lightweight for easy placement. Setup is plug-and-play: connect the turntable RCA leads, run output to your audio device, attach the DC adapter, and flip the switch.
Warranty and returns
The product comes with a 30-day return option and a one-year manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Customer support is available for setup questions and warranty claims.
Pros
- Simple plug-and-play setup
- Both RCA and TRS outputs included
- Low-noise op-amp design
Cons
- Not the highest gain for some cartridges
- Slight hum at extreme volumes
- Manual power switch only
VerdictA straightforward, compact phono stage that converts cartridge output to line level with minimal noise. Easy to hook up to modern amplifiers or powered speakers, includes both RCA and TRS outputs and a convenient power switch. Good value for setting up a vinyl rig quickly, though very high-volume users may notice a slight background hum.

Clear sound with minor hum at high volume
Perfect for hooking my turntable to powered speakers—clean output and louder levels. At very high volume there’s a faint hum, but normal listening is fine.

Not enough gain for some records
Provides decent boost but I needed more volume on certain quieter pressings.

Does the job smoothly
Easy to install and operates quietly. Sounds clean and requires only RCA cables. I’d prefer an auto-sense power feature, but otherwise it’s a solid pick.

Handy power switch
Functions well and the on/off switch is convenient since I don’t use the turntable often.
