Gaswei G1pro+ Waterproof Shockproof Two-Way Radios — 6-Pack
Review
Built for demanding use: the Gaswei G1pro+ radios boast a shock-resistant housing with an anti-slip grip and an IP67 rating for dust and water protection. They are designed to withstand drops from about 2 meters and stand up to rough handling on trails, job sites, or boats.
What’s in the box: a six-pack of G1pro+ handheld radios, belt clips and wrist straps, a multi-unit charging base plus a USB-C charging cable, and a printed quick-start guide. The radios charge via USB-C for convenience and can also sit in the supplied dock for group recharges.
Radio specs and operation: each unit operates on 22 FRS channels and supports 121 CTCSS privacy tones, yielding up to 2,684 unique channel/code combinations to reduce interference. Power is user-selectable between low (0.5W) for close-range, battery-saving use and high (2W) to extend range. Reported coverage includes theoretical area coverage up to roughly 300,000 sq. ft. / 25 floors and distances up to about 6 miles over open water; everyday real-world range will depend on obstacles and environment.
Battery and runtime: each radio contains an 1800mAh rechargeable lithium pack. Expect up to roughly 24 hours of continuous transmissions under typical settings and as much as 100 hours on standby, with actual longevity affected by volume, transmit power and usage patterns.
Extra features: the radios include VOX hands-free operation, an FM receiver, an SOS alert function, vibration notifications, power-saving modes, keypad lock, headphone jack support and ten NOAA weather channels with alert reception. These functions aim to keep groups connected and informed when cell service is unavailable.

Weather channel is incredibly useful
I really like having the weather channel built in. It’s handy for emergency prep and doesn’t rely on cellular service. These are great for camping or concerts where phone reception can fail. They took a little time to learn, but felt solid and rugged once I knew the buttons. Planning to see how they perform at a festival next month and will update if anything changes.

Highly recommended for outdoor use
Perfect for our camping, kayaking and hiking trips. The radios are robust without being bulky and include secure belt clips and wrist straps. The package had the straps, charging dock, USB-C cable and a clear quick-start sheet. They topped up quickly and were straightforward to set up. Range inside our house was good; we haven’t pushed them to the maximum distances yet.

Not as reliable as my other set
This pack hasn’t performed like another set I own from the same brand. They’re fiddly to set up, often skip past settings, and sometimes don’t link to each other even on the same channel. Audio can be crackly or drop out at short distances, and standby battery life has been disappointing. Could be a defective batch or different revision.

Dependable on the water
Impressed overall — solid construction and the IP67 rating adds confidence for marine use. Audio clarity has been good and range reliable for my needs. Extra functions like FM, VOX, SOS and NOAA alerts make these more versatile than basic models, and USB-C charging is convenient. A practical, trustworthy set for outdoor and boating use.

Good range and features but cautious on waterproofing
These have a lot of useful features and respectable range for the price. FM, NOAA alerts and USB-C charging are convenient. I wouldn’t fully trust them for sustained submersion — light splashes and rain were fine, but after some moisture exposure I noticed minor issues. They’re solid for mostly dry use with occasional light wetting.

Visible, sturdy and easy to spot
I like the yellow/black colors because they’re easy to find in grass or sand. They feel solid in hand and are compact rather than cheap. I rinsed them under the tap with ports closed and had no issues afterward, though the manual warns to ensure all seals are properly fastened. The backlit display is clear and you can change the backlight color for visibility in low light.

Feature-rich and built like gear
Bought these for outdoor trips where phones are unreliable. They feel durable and not toy-like, and the waterproof rating is comforting even if I don’t intentionally submerge them. USB-C charging and the option to use the charging cradle or a power bank are real conveniences. Battery life seems much better than older handhelds we owned.
