Walnut Challenge Coin Display Stand with Felt Pin Backer
Review
This stepped coin rack creates a layered presentation so each piece is seen instead of getting hidden behind another. Multiple slotted tiers offer roomy grooves sized for standard challenge coins, larger commemoratives and collectible poker chips, presenting them at an easy-to-read angle.
The included felt backboard converts the stand into a DIY pin surface. Use the supplied push pins — or your own thumbtacks — to attach unit patches, insignia, small photos, dog tags, ribbons and other mementos, then rearrange items as your collection grows.
Each groove is tilted slightly toward the rear to cradle coins upright; the recessed cuts help stabilize thicker or oversized pieces and reduce the chance of coins sliding forward or falling out during display. The slots will also accept many coins that remain in protective capsules.
Constructed with a walnut-tone finish on solid wood, the stand is designed for tabletop use on desks, shelves, mantelpieces or in an office. The package includes the wooden display, the felt backboard and a small set of push pins for immediate setup.
A tasteful and practical gift for veterans, active-duty personnel, police officers and collectors, the display is suitable for birthdays, retirements, Veterans Day, Father’s Day, Christmas and other occasions that honor service and achievement.
Pros
- Tiered angled slots keep coins fully visible
- Felt backboard allows pins, patches and photos
- Solid walnut-finish wood gives a distinguished look
Cons
- Small finish or shipping blemishes can occur
- May need extra pins for dense backboard layouts
- Designed for tabletop display only
VerdictThis solid wood, tiered display keeps every coin visible with rear-angled grooves that hold standard and oversized coins securely. The removable felt backboard turns the stand into a customizable pinboard for patches, tags and photos. Well-suited for desks, shelves or mantels and a meaningful gift for veterans, law enforcement or collectors. Expect a handsome, durable piece though small finish ble

Sturdy stand — I removed the backer
Solid wooden stand that holds a nice coin collection. Mine has five tiers with slots; the top rear slot is designed for the felt backer, but I left that piece out and used it for coins since the slot matches the others. The wood pieces are joined well and fit neatly. There were a few small dings, possibly from shipping, but they’re hardly noticeable once the coins are in place. It also came with a small tube of push pins for the backer.

Beautiful and gift-ready
Very well made with attractive wood grain. The felt insert slides into the top so you can pin photos or medals, and pins are included. Each row holds several coins and lets them be shown off fully. Compact footprint and easy to assemble — a thoughtful gift for any military member or collector.

Great value for collectors
Arrived quickly and well packed with no damage. The walnut finish looks great and the materials feel sturdy, not cheap. Holds my challenge coins much better than keeping them in a drawer — simple, well-made and worth the cost.

Warm walnut finish, secure slots
Keepsake coins and small medals look sharp on this stand. The wood grain has a warm tone and the precision grooves display coins at a readable angle without slipping. The felt board accepts pins cleanly and the base sits flat and stable on a shelf or desk.

Nice tribute display — minor flaws
Neat, organized rack that accommodates both standard and thicker commemorative coins without crowding. The felt board is a welcome addition for patches and small ribbons; supplied pins are fine but standard push pins work too. I knocked a star off for a few small dents and a rough patch in one groove, but overall it serves its purpose well.

Flexible backboard options
Still deciding how to arrange unit patches on the felt. It includes clear thumbtacks, though I bought low-profile pins for a cleaner look. Slots are wide enough for coins in protective cases, which my older holder didn’t allow; loose coins can sit a bit angled depending on thickness.

Attractive, well-made stand
Very nice display stand and well constructed; I’ve had several compliments. The back can be customized with pins or left plain — it looks good either way.
