Outdoor
Ultralight Folding Camping Cot — Portable Bed, 4.9 lb, Supports 275 lb
Review
What’s in the package: one folding cot and a stuff sack for storage and transport.
Construction: The frame uses tent-pole–style aircraft-grade aluminum for a lightweight but sturdy skeleton. The sleeping surface is made from tough ripstop nylon that resists tearing and wears well in outdoor use. The cot includes multiple heavy-duty cross rods that tension the fabric and reduce sag.
Dimensions and weight: The cot weighs about 4.9 pounds and compresses down to a compact package roughly 15.7 x 6.9 inches for easy carrying. When assembled it provides a single sleeping surface sized for typical adults with comfortable arm clearance.
Support and stability: Engineered to carry up to 275 pounds, the design features five strong cross bars to keep the bed flat and avoid excessive droop. Ten wide, non-marring feet help the cot stay level on uneven ground while protecting tent floors and other surfaces.
Setup and takedown: A shock-corded, foldable pole system makes assembly tool-free. The poles slide into sleeves and seat into end pockets; once the cross rods are fitted the fabric tensions and the cot is ready. Breaking it down is equally quick — fold, tuck the poles, and slide it back into the sack.
Use cases: Ideal for camping, backpacking-supporting raft trips, hunting, and road trips, it’s also handy as a spare bed at home or an office nap setup. The off-ground design keeps sleepers away from cold, damp, and uneven ground for a more comfortable night.
Pros
- Very lightweight and compresses small for easy transport
- Quick, tool-free assembly with durable materials
- Stable, off-ground sleep surface with strong load capacity
Cons
- Some effort needed to seat cross rods during assembly
- Head area offers limited extra support for taller users
- Not the lightest option for long-distance backpacking
VerdictThis compact cot strikes a strong balance between lightness and durability. If you want a portable elevated sleeping platform that stows easily and goes together without tools, it’s a smart choice. The aluminum pole frame and ripstop fabric support a decent load and feel steady; setup takes only minutes once you get the hang of the assembly. Best for car camping, raft trips, or as guest bedding wh

Excellent cot!
Lightweight, simple to put together, and surprisingly comfortable. Best tent-camping sleep I’ve had in ages. Highly recommend.

Comfortable and dependable
Used this on two weeklong trips and slept well as a side sleeper. It feels sturdy and packs down compactly. You do need some arm strength to bend the cross beams during assembly, so not ideal for very weak users.

Perfect for river trips
After multi-day rafting trips I slept far better with this cot. Some of our group used these and everyone was pleased. My wife found it easy to assemble and comfortable even sleeping under the stars.

Quick to assemble
I set it up immediately and everything worked. A tip: rest it on its side to fit the crossbars, press down against the ground to flex them into place. I had it built in under six minutes with no issues.

Great value and roomy
Easy setup and held my 230 lb, 6'4" frame with no sag for a while. Side sleeping worked fine without a pad. Packs small and is a solid choice for car or bike camping; maybe bulky for long backpacking trips.

Does the job
Haven’t slept overnight on it yet, but fabric feels solid and setup was quick. Bottom supports require some force. The head section lacks extra lift for taller users, so add padding under your head if needed.

Solid and portable
The cot feels robust and sets up quickly. Ten feet spread the load so nothing pokes the tent floor. Its nearly 70 cm width is nice for motorcycle trips.

Takes practice but doable
There’s a learning curve to getting the poles into the end pockets. A brief video helped me spot a tiny opening and once I knew that it assembled without trouble. Worth practicing before you rely on it for an overnight.

Compact yet comfortable
We switched from inflatable pads and haven’t regretted it. Two cots fit in our tent and the sleep quality is much better. Lightweight, easy to assemble, and incredibly comfortable.
