Parachute Nylon Camping Hammock — Single Lightweight Traveler Hammock
Review
Designed for use anywhere you can find two sturdy anchor points, this single hammock spans 9 feet by 4.5 feet and provides ample room for one adult. The set ships with a sewn-in stuff sack for storage, two tree straps with multiple loops for quick length adjustment, and locking carabiners so you can hang it without extra hardware.
Constructed from parachute-grade nylon, the fabric is lightweight, breathable, and quick to dry. Critical seams are triple-stitched to improve tear resistance and long-term durability. The hammock itself is rated to safely hold up to 400 pounds and maintains its shape through repeated use.
Everything needed to hang the hammock is included in the pack: 9 ft tree straps with five attachment loops, two aluminum carabiners, and the integrated carry pouch. No separate stand is required — simply anchor between two trees, posts, or a porch beam and clip in. The strap loops let you fine-tune height and sag for optimal comfort.
Weighing roughly 16 ounces, this hammock compresses small enough to fit inside a daypack for backpacking trips or to stash in a glovebox for spontaneous rest stops. Its parachute fabric resists abrasion and performs well in humid conditions, making it suitable for humid forests and coastal use.
The nylon is machine washable once the hardware is removed; use a gentle, cold cycle and air-dry to preserve fabric strength and avoid shrinking. Wide straps are used to distribute load and minimize damage to tree bark, making it an eco-aware choice for camping in protected areas.
Built to withstand routine outdoor exposure, the hammock tolerates rain and sun when used as intended but should be stored dry for long-term care. Compact and gift-ready, it’s a practical present for hikers, travelers, and anyone who enjoys outdoor downtime.
Pros
- Very lightweight and packs extremely small
- Includes straps and carabiners for quick setup
- Breathable, quick-dry parachute nylon with reinforced seams
Cons
- Single size may be tight for two adults
- Tree straps may take practice for ideal hang angle
- Hardware and straps not protected by a separate case
VerdictThis single parachute-nylon hammock is an excellent lightweight option for solo campers and travelers who need a compact, durable resting solution. It packs very small, includes straps and carabiners for fast setup, and uses reinforced stitching and wide tree-safe straps. Comfort and breathability are strong points, and the 400 lb capacity gives confidence for regular use. Ideal for hikers, backya

Nice Single Hammock
I used the single at the lake and it packed away neatly. Materials and straps seem good quality, not as heavy as some other brands but solid so far. At 5'9" and 180 lbs I felt very comfortable. No major complaints.

Excellent Purchase!
We’re very pleased. It’s light, tough, and sets up in a couple of minutes thanks to the clips. Packs down to palm-size in its tiny bag. A handy item to have on trips.

Excellent Fabric and Strong Enough
The fabric is pleasant and not scratchy; it lets a bit of air through which keeps things cool. Feels solid — I weigh about 115 kg and it’s held up so far. The carabiners clip easily to my rope anchor, which is handy since I take it down each evening. Overall very satisfied.

Super Comfortable and Simple to Hang
This hammock changed how I camp. The nylon feels lightweight yet sturdy, and it’s very comfy for long rests. It stuffs into the attached pouch, so it’s easy to carry. The straps and carabiners are solid — I had it hung in under five minutes and could tweak the height quickly. Plenty of room for one person.
