Posca 15-Pack 5M Acrylic Paint Markers — Medium Reversible Tips
Review
This set contains fifteen Posca paint markers in a range of bright hues, each fitted with a 5M reversible medium nib that can be flipped for different line widths. The pens are produced in Japan and built for both precise detailing and filling larger areas, making them useful for illustration, crafting, and decorative work.
The ink is a water-based pigment formula that is ACMI-certified and non-toxic. It’s designed to be mixable, layered, and diluted if needed, offering flexibility for blending and glazing techniques. Once dry, the pigment is water-resistant and lightfast; it will adhere permanently to porous supports like paper, wood, and canvas while remaining removable from many nonporous surfaces such as glass and glazed ceramics with scraping or solvents.
Because the nibs are reversible and durable, they can create fine strokes, calligraphic curves, solid fills, lettering, and street-art style marks. To activate the flow, shake the pen, press the nib down several times, and keep a scrap of paper handy for testing. The markers won’t bleed through most paper types and provide reliable coverage without the odor of solvent-based pens.
These pens are suitable for 50+ surfaces including canvas, wood, metal, plastic, glass, ornaments, windows, fabric (for decorative use), pumpkins, rocks, skateboards, and more. They work well for seasonal crafts, customizing apparel and accessories, signage, photo embellishments, and hobby projects.
Packaged as a versatile creative kit, this 15-color set is a popular gift choice for adults and children who enjoy art and DIY projects. The combination of opaque pigment, durable reversible tips, and broad surface compatibility makes the set a go-to tool for many makers.

VerdictThese 15 Posca 5M paint markers deliver vivid, opaque color and dependable flow across dozens of materials. Reliable choice with lasting results
These Posca markers have never let me down. The color selection is useful and they hold up well through projects. They're more of an investment than some other pens, but you get consistent performance. I did notice my white faded faster than expected, which was likely due to heavy use.

Perfect for holiday wood ornaments
I used these on wooden Christmas ornaments and was pleased. After priming the pens the ink flowed evenly. Bright shades needed only one coat and you can layer afterward without much trouble. Test on scrap when you reopen to avoid built-up puddles.

Encourages creativity — great for kids
I was hesitant at first about spending on a full set, but these proved excellent. My daughter uses them nearly every day for drawing and crafts; the pigments are bright, they glide well, and they haven’t dried out like cheaper pens did. Worth the purchase and we’d buy again.

Great for menus and signage
I use them on metal menu boards and some plastic signs. They stand out and are easy to remove from nonporous surfaces when needed. They’re ready to use after simple priming, but darker shades show best on light backgrounds. Be gentle, as too much pressure can cause minor leaks.

Fantastic on leather and for layering
These perform brilliantly on leather—colors stay vivid and don’t soak away. A quick shake and a couple of presses gets consistent flow. The pigments layer nicely, allowing light colors over dark once dry. Finish is matte and note: this set lacks metallic tones.

Introduced by videos — they really shine
I bought these after seeing them used online and they didn’t disappoint. Shake, press, and the nib soaks up plenty of paint. If a tip seems low, give it another shake and press to load more. Colors stay bright when dry and you can layer without bleeding. Black is great for outlines; blue and pink are especially vibrant.

Complete set but watch canvas use
Set arrived with all the shades and they do need activation. They ran out faster than I expected on canvas, but otherwise performed excellently.
