Air-Dry Modeling Clay Set — 24 Colors, Ultra-Light with Tools
Review
What’s included: 24 individual colored clay packets (0.45 oz / 12.8 g each) for a combined weight of 11.46 oz, a set of basic shaping tools, and small bags to keep unused portions sealed.
Material and feel: Ultra-light, air-dry modeling clay with a soft, sponge-like consistency that’s easy for young children to manipulate. The formulation is intended for hand shaping, mixing colors, and simple details rather than fine, highly detailed sculpting.
How to use: Mix and knead individual colors to create custom shades. Mold pieces to the desired shape, allow them to dry at room temperature — thin areas often set in about a day, while thicker sections can take 24–48 hours or longer. No baking is required.
Practical tips: For attaching small parts, press gently and consider letting separate elements dry before joining with glue for a firmer bond. Keep unused clay sealed in the provided bags to retain softness and extend usability.
Recommended uses: Great for arts-and-crafts sessions, school assignments, holiday and birthday presents, and family craft time. Suggested age range is 3–8+ years, suitable for kids developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Five stars
Feels spongey and is easy to work with before drying. It took quite a while to fully harden—maybe over a week—but once cured the pieces are solid even after months. Need a safe spot while it dries.

Kids absolutely love it
Very soft and easy to shape, with vivid colors. A hit with the children—already ordering more since they want to keep creating.

Good quality for the price
A cheaper alternative to name brands that still performs well. Came with small bags to store leftovers. Would buy again.

Poor — tiny and repetitive
Very small portions and poor overall quality. Only about 12 unique colors and many repeats.

Excellent starter kit
Bought this to make fridge magnets. Plenty of hues and some helpful tools to get going. Even without prior clay experience, basic shapes were easy to make. Good low-cost entry product.

Very fun!
Bought to play with my nephews (4 and 7) and we all enjoyed it. Easy to sculpt, great color choice, and the pieces dried nicely.

Perfect for 4- and 5-year-olds
Entertains preschoolers well. The packets are a bit fiddly and you may need to help get the clay out so less is wasted. It shapes easily and dries to a solid in about 24 hours. Color range is excellent.

Repeated shades
Disappointed to find duplicate colors — the pack is essentially three groups with the same shades repeated.

Family crafting favorite
We had a lot of fun making small items. It dries fairly fast so don’t leave lengthy sessions uncovered. Pieces don’t always stick together well, so drying separately then gluing worked best. Affordable and entertaining; my college daughter enjoyed it too.

Great for molding with the kids
So much fun and simple to use. The kids loved the variety of colors and I picked up a hobby too. The clay holds moisture well; I added a touch of water to soften pieces for tiny details and to attach eyes and ears. Tools helped a lot. Some pieces felt set after about 12 hours and we used them to create small play scenes.

Made for children, not adults
This is airy, playdough-like clay that dries. Hard to form very clean shapes without disturbing other areas, and finished pieces remain slightly malleable. Not great for adult date-night sculpting—it's best suited for kids.

Works well for school projects
My 8.5-year-old and I used it for a king penguin display. The 24 colors are great and mixing to custom shades is handy. The clay is spongy and kid-friendly, though sometimes too soft to hold complex shapes. It isn’t messy, dries overnight, and stays workable if resealed. Finished project looked wonderful.
