HDPE Adirondack Outdoor Chair — Driftwood Finish, Stationary
Review
This single-piece Adirondack-style lounge chair is made from virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with a textured grain finish designed to resemble painted or stained wood. The package includes the chair components, stainless steel hardware and basic tools along with easy-to-follow assembly instructions.
The chair measures approximately 31 inches wide by 34 inches deep and stands 38 inches tall, with a comfortable 16.25-inch seat height that makes sitting down and rising easier. Wide track arms provide ample space for a drink or a small plate, while the slatted seat and shell-back contours are shaped for ergonomic support.
Constructed to shed rainwater, the slatted styling helps water run through rather than pool, and the HDPE material wipes clean easily and resists weathering. The assembled unit weighs about 36 pounds, giving it a stable, stationary presence on patios, porches, or decks.
Stainless steel fasteners and a heavy-duty frame contribute to long-term stability. Assembly is required and is reported to take around 30 minutes for one chair; follow the included guide and use the provided hardware to ensure proper fit and alignment.
Pros
- Weather-resistant HDPE with wood-like texture
- Stable 36 lb frame and stainless hardware
- Comfortable seat height and wide track arms
Cons
- Some effort required during assembly
- Relatively heavy to move once assembled
- Back is fairly upright compared to reclining styles
VerdictA robust, low-maintenance Adirondack chair that mimics the look of wood without the upkeep. The durable virgin HDPE resists moisture and fading, while the heavy 36-pound frame and stainless fasteners deliver stable, long-lasting outdoor seating. Assembly takes some effort but follows straightforward instructions and includes the hardware and tools needed. Ideal for porches, decks and screened pati

Well-built chairs
These are sturdy and well made, easy to put together, and should hold up well in sun and rain. I already own others from this maker and they’ve stayed looking new for years.

Great for seniors — easy to get in and out
Bought these for elderly in-laws; the taller seat height makes standing up easier. Simple to assemble and they really like them.

Sturdy patio seating
Needed chairs quickly and received them in a few days. Put them together solo and they feel very sturdy with a solid finish.

Sturdy, easy to build with the right tools
Bought two chairs and a table. Parts are solid and weatherproof. Holes line up well; using a hex bit and drill speeds the process — save the allen wrench for final tightening. Highly recommended.

Bold color, heavy and comfortable
Sun-resistant, solid chairs in a great color. They require assembly and are pretty heavy, but very comfortable once set up.

Heavy-duty — survived a raucous party
These are heavy and don’t blow over in the wind. Very durable and the color is rich. The only tricky part was pushing some screws into tight holes; I lacked a little strength but otherwise they’re great.

Good product but hardware mismatch
Overall a great chair, but assembly was complicated by an incorrect hardware count — extra of one screw type and missing another. Aside from that it’s excellent.

Nice chairs but assembly can be frustrating
Chairs are attractive, sturdy and comfortable. The first one was hard to assemble because some predrilled holes were too small. With patience the rest came together fine; directions were simple.

Very upright back but attractive
Nice looking chair and fairly easy to assemble with two people. We had to re-drill a couple of holes. One arm had a faint discoloration but not worth returning. The back is quite straight and the seat is a bit higher than other chairs, so my feet don’t touch the ground well, but they look great on our porch.

Perfect mix of form and function
Switched from another brand after trying these at a relative’s house and I’m very pleased. Wide and supportive, sit a bit higher which helps getting up, easy to assemble with a drill, and comfortable for larger people.

Solid construction; assembly gets faster
All chairs arrived together and packed well. The plastic boards and stainless hardware look durable for outdoor use. Assembly flowed smoothly and I sped up after the first one—last chair took about 10 minutes. The boards have a bit of give, which actually increases comfort. Time will tell on long-term durability with full exposure.
