TickCheck Premium Tick Removal Kit — Stainless Remover & Fine-Tip Tweezers
Review
What’s included: one stainless-steel V-shaped tick remover designed to cradle and lift larger embedded ticks, one precision super-fine-tip stainless tweezer for grasping nymphs and very small ticks, a compact leatherette carrying pouch to protect the tools, and a pocket-sized tick identification card to help recognize common species.
Materials and finish: both implements are made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel and trimmed to finished edges for safe handling; the pouch is leatherette for durable, lightweight protection. The tweezers have very fine, narrow tips for getting under tiny mouthparts, while the V-shaped remover is shaped to hook and extract adult ticks without compressing their bodies.
How to use: for small or hard-to-see ticks, use the fine-tip tweezers to grasp the tick as close to the skin as possible and pull straight out without twisting. For larger, firmly embedded ticks, slide the V-shaped remover under the tick and lift gently until it releases. After removal, compare the specimen to the identification card and store it for testing if recommended by your local health authorities.
Portability and care: the tools are pocket-sized and fit easily in a glove compartment, backpack, or home first-aid kit. Wipe the instruments with an appropriate disinfectant after each use and keep them dry in the pouch when not in use. A portion of proceeds supports university research into tick-borne illness, reinforcing the kit’s connection to ongoing Lyme and tick studies.
Pros
- Two purpose-built stainless tools for large and tiny ticks
- Compact leatherette pouch for easy transport
- Includes a handy tick identification card
Cons
- Not surgical-grade instruments
- Pouch is leatherette rather than full leather
- Tweezers lack textured grip on handles
VerdictThis kit gives you two purpose-built stainless tools and reference materials that make extracting both large and tiny ticks straightforward. The tools are thoughtfully finished, stow neatly in a protective pouch, and are suitable for human and animal use in the field or at home. It’s a practical addition to outdoor gear or a household first-aid kit.

Does the job
Performs well at removing ticks. We’ve had many this season and the tools have worked reliably.

Well-made kit for outdoor folks
Haven’t needed to use it yet, but it feels essential if you spend time in wooded areas. We live near a lot of wildlife and hike frequently — ticks are common. The set is solid, contains the right tools for removing a whole tick, and tucks easily into a glovebox or first-aid kit. It also comes with ID information. I’m getting extras for family gifts.

Good to have for trips
Looks like a decent set for camping and outdoor use. Haven’t had to use them much yet. Not surgical instruments, but perfectly fine for field removals.

Sturdy construction
Used it a few times already and it works great. Metal tools, not plastic.

Smart, simple tick tools
Quality construction and straightforward design. The tweezers’ small curved tips let you grab the head without squeezing the body. The V-tool pulls ticks without putting pressure on them.

Handy kit to carry everywhere
Small and useful to keep in a backpack, car, or bathroom. Removing ticks completely is important to avoid leaving mouthparts behind, and these tools make that easier. The ID card is a helpful extra. After removal, I always photograph the tick and, if attached long, consider sending it for testing.

A must-have set
Great set for the cost. Comparable to pricier kits I’ve seen. I like that it includes a reference card and useful tweezers that can serve multiple purposes.

Excellent, portable extraction tools
I had Lyme last year, so I’m very careful now. We spend a lot of time in fields and these tools have been great — even when ticks hide in awkward places. The tweezers pulled a tiny seed-sized tick cleanly with no fuss. Easy to use even if your hands aren’t steady. Well worth having and avoid cheap plastic alternatives.

Performs better than expected
The forked remover slid under ticks easier than my older tool. It’s thin but rigid, and the polished finish helps with extraction. I still keep a basic key-style tool for easy cases.

Good value, practical tools
If you hike, camp, or spend time outside, know how to remove ticks properly. This kit offers a stainless V-remover, fine-point tweezers, a leatherette pouch, and an ID card—everything needed for safe extraction. The V-tool grips well and the tweezers handle tiny nymphs effectively.

Decent product but a bit expensive.

Effortless tick removal. Very effective.

Solid build and effective
Higher quality than cheaper alternatives. Both tools are stainless and nicely finished with no rough edges. The knurled grip on the remover helps control it. We’ve found many ticks early and these tools have removed the few that got attached.
