Catit PIXI Cat Water Fountain — Pink Indoor Drinking Fountain
Review
The Catit PIXI is a plug-in indoor cat water fountain that supplies continuous, filtered water and multiple drinking experiences to tempt finicky felines. The package includes the fountain reservoir and bowl assembly, a submersible pump with ceramic bearing, and one triple-stage filter cartridge. The filter uses a cotton mesh to trap debris, activated carbon to reduce odors and impurities, and ion-exchange resin to reduce hardness from tap water.
The fountain presents three accessible drinking options: a gentle, calm water flow across the shallow front bowl, a focused stream from a small spout, and a bubbling top. The drinking surface is intentionally wide and shallow so a cat’s whiskers are not stressed while they drink. A drip-collection zone returns stray drops back into the reservoir, reducing mess around the unit.
On the front, PIXI’s decorative nose doubles as a backlit water-level window; the whisker graphics mark the reservoir’s maximum fill. When the internal sensor detects low water, the pump shuts off automatically and the nose flashes to warn you. Refill the reservoir to the whisker line and the unit will resume operation. Because the pump hangs in the water rather than mounted directly to the plastic shell, vibration is reduced and the unit runs with very little noise. Periodic disassembly of the pump and cleaning of the impeller area will help maintain quiet, long-term performance.
The fountain’s components are designed for routine cleaning and filter swaps. The front bowl allows cats to drink even if the pump is turned off, and the compact footprint fits easily on counters or floors. Replacement filters are sold separately; regular filter changes and occasional deep cleaning will keep water quality at its best.

Quiet, cute, and effective
Extremely quiet, simple to put together, and my cat prefers it over bowls. A solid, well-made product.

Cats enjoyed it, pump failed
The idea is good and my cats used it, but the pump stopped working so I had to replace it.

My cats took to it
We’ve owned a few similar fountains and the cats like this one. I had issues before with nasty growth in filters—tried different brands—so that was a worry. This model makes drinking easier without awkward reaching, the refill indicator is very visible, and it’s simple to top up. Also quite cute.

Our cat prefers it to a bowl
He sniffed it immediately and began drinking from it. Build quality seems good and it’s simple to assemble and clean. Holds plenty of water. Note: only one filter is included, so order replacements.

Runs reliably for a long time
It’s been running for a while without issues, the cat is happy. Just clean occasionally and it lasts.

Liked by cats, but plastic body is a downside
My cats warmed to it fast and the flowing water is a hit. Capacity lasts several days between fills and it’s quiet. Downsides: the main body is plastic, residue builds up with hard water, and the pump clogs unless cleaned regularly. Mine did fail after a few months but a cheap replacement pump worked fine.

Very quiet and user-friendly
The fountain is silent, easy to operate, and comfortable for my cat to use.

Looks nice but had serious problems
Initially fine, but within weeks the motor began failing and I found mold around the base and motor area. Deep cleaning didn’t fix the problem. The plastic felt cheap and I worried about contamination. I wouldn’t risk it for pets prone to health issues.

Great for an older, noise-sensitive cat
I wanted something quiet and easy to clean for my senior cat and this fit the bill. Setup was straightforward and the filter snaps in place. The low-water light is easy to see although the fill line takes a moment to spot. Very quiet aside from the water hitting the bowl. My cat took a few days to approach it but then began interacting with it.

Perfect for picky drinkers
I have four picky cats and this fountain won them over. It’s quiet, easy to disassemble and clean, and the little water window with light is helpful. Design is cute and the shallow top prevents a paw-dumper from emptying it too much.

Simple pump repair trick
After the pump stopped I fixed it myself. Unplug and remove the pump, take off the covers, pull out the tiny impeller and rinse the area (Q-tip helps). Reassemble and test in a bowl of water. If it still fails, a small replacement submersible pump with a USB lead will fit through the cable slot and works well.
