Rug Tape Discs, 10-Pack Double-Sided Non-Slip Rug Grippers
Review
What’s included: a pack of ten triangular double-sided rug discs. Each piece has a textured silicone contact side and an adhesive-coated rear protected by a peel-off backing film.
Materials and design: the discs feature an upgraded triangle shape to increase edge contact and grip at rug corners. The adhesive layer is formulated to stick well to hard surfaces while the upper silicone layer grips the rug backing. They’re washable on the silicone face and designed to be removable without leaving adhesive residue on many floor finishes.
How to use: peel away the paper backing and press the adhesive side firmly to the underside of the rug at corners or along edges. Remove the thin film covering the silicone surface, position the rug, then press down so the silicone bonds to the floor. They function on hardwood, tile, laminate, marble, concrete and similar surfaces. Note: they won’t bond to rubber or jute-backed rugs and may be less effective on very textured or fragile rug backs.
Pros
- Strong grip on many hard floor types
- Peels off most floors without sticky residue
- Simple application and washable silicone face
Cons
- Can pull fibers from delicate rug undersides
- Does not adhere to rubber or jute backings
- May need replacement after removal from rugs
VerdictThese 10 triangular adhesive discs deliver a firm hold on most hard surfaces and quickly fixes slipping or curled rug corners. They work extremely well for preventing movement under foot traffic and pet activity, and they remove without leaving residue on many floor types. However, their strong adhesion can pull fibers from delicate rug backs and they aren’t reliable on rubber or jute undersides.

Started failing after a week
They did grip the floor at first, but after about a week the corners began to lift and they didn’t keep the rug down.

Perfect fix for rolled corners
Solved the tightly rolled corners on my new rug very quickly. Worked exactly as needed to flatten them out.

Does what it’s supposed to
These grippers perform as advertised and my rug no longer shifts. Very satisfied with the results.

No more sliding on the kitchen floor
These grip well and stopped me from slipping on my kitchen rugs. Easy to apply and the fit at the corners is good. I bought two packs and they’ve lasted.

Didn’t work for my jute rug
They adhered beautifully to my granite floor but would not stick to the jute-backed rug. Disappointing for that backing type.

Long-lasting on hardwood
Using these for two years and they mostly stayed put; only one came up where I used fewer pads. The bottom side still clings to floor but the top lost stick after time. Be cautious on uneven finish—one spot lost a tiny bit of finish where the floor had dips.

Survives toddlers and puppies
Runners and mats on hardwood barely move now even with kids and a pup running around. Puppy learned to pull and chew the pads, so I cut them in half to stretch replacements. They’ll re-stick to the floor once lifted, but lint prevents them from re-adhering to rugs.

Works well on hard pads under rugs
Update: I kept them. My desk rug kept sliding off a plastic chair pad; these adhered to the pad and the rug enough that I don’t have to constantly fix it. They’ll probably need occasional replacement but they solved the daily shifting problem.

Terrific holding power
The grip is intense. I’ve had these on rugs for months with zero movement. Caveat: they stick so well they ripped fibers when I tried to peel them up. They didn’t harm the floor. I wouldn’t trust them to survive a washing cycle.

They actually stop the rug sliding
My area rug used to scoot all over my hardwood and these held it steady even while vacuuming and with dogs running. They don’t seem reusable on the rug though — pulling them off peeled fuzz and they lost tack. For cheap rugs I don’t mind, but they could damage nicer fibers.

Held my rug against a hyper pup
We put several around a 5x7 rug and it stayed in place for weeks despite a big puppy zooming and skidding. The pads stuck to the rug backing and peeled off the rug rather than the floor. When that happens you need new pads — cleaning the adhesive didn’t restore stickiness.
