This six-well donut pan is a specialty baking piece designed to produce baked ring donuts at home. It has six cavities, each about 3-1/4 inches across, so you can bake multiple treats at once without the mess of frying.
The pan is constructed of carbon steel and finished with a nonstick coating to help donuts release cleanly and to make hand cleaning faster. Because the coating can be shortened by harsh treatment, dishwashers are not recommended. For best results, lightly grease each cavity with a solid vegetable shortening or use a baking spray that contains flour before pouring batter.
When filling the molds, pour batter only up to about three-quarters of each cavity to prevent overflow while baking. After baking, allow donuts to rest briefly in the pan, then invert to release them. Avoid metal utensils, scouring pads, or abrasive cleaners on the nonstick surface to preserve the finish. Mix and bake times will vary by recipe and oven.

Country of origin surprise
I asked if these were U.S.-made because I usually buy this brand. They turned out to be made in China, but I couldn’t find them locally so I kept them. They seem well made and I was happy with the results after trying them.

Easy to bake and customize
Bought two pans to make a dozen at a time. Plenty of recipes online — mix, fill, bake, then glaze or roll in cinnamon sugar. Simple hand washing afterward.

Good pan but small hole
Bakes well and cleans easily, but the center post doesn’t make a deep hole. I had to push through the top to form a proper donut hole even filling to the recommended level.

Performs well with a caveat
I used the included recipe and after greasing/flouring the pans the donuts released easily after a short rest. Cleanup was good. My only worry: at 375°F in my countertop oven the pan seemed to warp slightly, so I’ll try a lower temp next time.
