Hanging Hay Bag Feeder for Guinea Pigs & Rabbits — Double-Layer Floral
Review
What you get: one hanging hay bag with two metal clips and a hook-and-loop (Velcro) closure at the top for refilling.
Materials and build: constructed from an upgraded double-layer fabric with heavier reinforcement around the two feeding openings to resist light chewing and frequent use. Sturdy metal clips secure the bag to cage wire.
Size: medium measures approximately 11" x 9" x 2", designed to fit most small-animal enclosures and hold a day’s worth of hay for one or two small pets.
How it works: open the top Velcro flap, stuff the bag with loose hay, then fasten the closure and clip the bag to the cage wall at a height that keeps hay above bedding and droppings. Large feed holes let animals pull hay through at their own pace.
Notes: intended to reduce mess and keep hay drier and cleaner; not guaranteed for aggressive chewers. The reinforced openings improve longevity but extreme gnawing can still cause damage.
Cleaning: hand wash recommended — gently brush with a soft brush, then hang to air dry.
Pros
- Keeps hay off the floor and cleaner
- Reinforced double-layer fabric and metal clips
- Easy to refill with Velcro top closure
Cons
- Feed holes are fairly large for some pets
- Not chew-proof for aggressive chewers
- Takes a little effort to stuff full
VerdictA practical hanging hay bag that tucks hay out of reach of bedding and droppings while letting guinea pigs, rabbits, and other small pets nibble at their leisure. Durable fabric, reinforced feed holes, and easy mounting make it a helpful accessory for maintaining cleaner cages and stretching hay use.

Well made and effective
Solid construction and does the job for my two rabbits. It keeps hay neater and reduces the big mess they used to make.

Holds enough hay for two
Provides a good day’s amount for my two guinea pigs. They can pull hay through without getting stuck — the openings are large and they sometimes pull more out than needed. No other issues so far.

Right size and height
Ideal height and size to keep bedding and droppings away from the hay. The color looks nice in the cage. Top opens to fill, then closes with Velcro, and the clips latch on easily. Sturdy and well made for the money.

Openings too large
The holes are quite big and my pigs turned it into more of a cozy spot than a feeder. Still a neat idea, though.

My bunny’s favorite
Works perfectly for my bunny whose cage has small wire spacing. He can easily grab hay now without straining his neck, and it’s very cute.

Good durability but a bit messy
Not the simplest to stuff full, but it held up to my guinea pigs without them chewing holes. They did pull hay out easily which made some mess on the cage floor. Size was perfect for one day’s supply for two pigs.

Will purchase again
I added this hay bag to my small-pet setup and it has been very handy. It hangs easily, keeps hay off the floor, and the animals can pull hay through at their own pace. The bag holds a good amount and feels solid after daily use. My pets seem to prefer it to loose hay, and it makes cleanup simpler. I’d recommend it to anyone with small animals that eat hay.

Works well for my angora rabbit
I have an angora and many rabbit items are too small, but this held a lot of hay and the Velcro feels strong. The stitching and material seem durable and the clips look solid. It should help reduce hay waste since my rabbit tends to scatter hay while eating.
