Capshi VESA-Certified DisplayPort 1.4 Cable — 6.6 ft, 8K@60Hz, 32.4Gbps
Review
Certified DisplayPort 1.4 performance: This cable carries the official VESA 1.4 specification and supports high-bandwidth modes including 8K at 60Hz, 5K at 60Hz, 4K at 144Hz, and 2K at 240Hz. It also supports HDCP 2.2/1.4, Display Stream Compression (DSC 1.2) and forward error correction for improved signal reliability.
What’s in the box and lengths offered: Each package contains a single DisplayPort 1.4 cable. It’s available in common lengths to suit desktop and standing-desk setups — typical options include around 6.6 ft and longer runs such as 10 ft — letting you choose the size that fits your workstation layout.
Construction and materials: The cable is built with multiple layers of shielding, a braided outer jacket for abrasion resistance, and 24K gold-plated DisplayPort connectors to reduce corrosion and improve contact. Internally it uses high-speed conductors engineered to deliver up to 32.4 Gbps via HBR3 and to carry 32-channel audio, offering plug-and-play operation for modern GPUs and monitors.
How to use and compatibility notes: Plug directly between a DisplayPort-equipped PC or GPU and a monitor for video and audio transmission. It’s compatible with a wide range of gaming and professional displays and mainstream graphics cards. For best results avoid passive adapters or long signal converters, as those can reduce available bandwidth and compromise the link quality. Backward compatibility with DP 1.3/1.2/1.1 is included.
Pros
- VESA-certified DP 1.4 with 8K@60Hz support
- Durable braided jacket and gold-plated connectors
- High 32.4 Gbps bandwidth with DSC & FEC for stability
Cons
- No locking latch on connector
- Adapters or extenders can degrade performance
- Occasional unit failures reported, replacement sometimes needed
VerdictThis VESA-certified DP 1.4 cable is a strong option for gamers and content creators who need high refresh rates, HDR support, and a dependable connection. Its braided exterior and plated connectors feel durable, and the cable handles 4K144 and 8K60 signals reliably when used without adapters or low-quality extenders. A small number of users reported intermittent issues that were resolved by a repl

Great fit and reliable hold
Nice fit in the port, not too thick to bend, and has stayed secure. I bought multiple for my triple-screen sim rig and they’ve performed consistently well.

Perfect length for my standing desk setup
I bought the longer version for my 32" 2K monitor and it’s ideal for my adjustable desk. The extra length lets me switch between sitting and standing without tugging. Handles my 2K at 180Hz without issue and feels solidly built.

Solid build and future-proof performance
Upgraded to the 10 ft DP 1.4 cable and it performed flawlessly. Supports 8K60 and 4K144, braided jacket, gold-plated ends, and triple shielding kept the signal stable during intense gameplay. No HDR or sync issues in my tests. Only downside: the plug doesn’t lock, so check it’s seated well.

Built to last feeling
Flexible but firm cable, longer length fit my triple-screen layout. Lacks a locking mechanism so it can be easier to pull out if tensioned, but overall performs well.
