2-Pack Magnetic Curtain Rods for Doors — Adjustable 18–30 in
Review
What’s in the box: two magnetic curtain rods that assemble quickly into a single adjustable bar. Each set includes the main rod, a telescoping insert and magnetic end caps so you have a ready-to-install pair for two doors or openings.
Installation is tool-free. The end pieces hold by magnetism to any steel surface; there’s no drilling, no adhesive and no extra hardware required. Because they clamp on magnetically, they leave no screw holes or sticky residue on metal doors or appliances and can be repositioned at will.
Construction and sizing: the design combines a 3/8-inch main tube with a smaller telescoping insert to allow precise adjustment. Each rod expands from 18 inches up to 30 inches so it fits common French doors, small windows and appliance fronts. The bars are made from metal with a wear-resistant black finish to reduce chipping and maintain appearance over time.
Load and usage: rated to hold about 5.5 pounds per rod, these bars are intended for lightweight curtains, cafe panels, sheer fabric and towels. Their slim diameter is suitable for rings or simple tabs and offers a low-profile look without bulk.
Where to use them: ideal for metal or steel surfaces such as front and back doors, French doors, kitchen appliances, washers and dryers, file cabinets, toolboxes and classroom boards. Note: they only function on magnetic or ferrous surfaces, so they won’t adhere to wood, aluminum or non-magnetic materials.
Pros
- No-drill, tool-free installation
- Strong magnets hold curtains and towels
- Adjustable 18–30 in length for versatile fit
Cons
- Only adheres to magnetic/steel surfaces
- Not suited for heavy or lined drapes
- Limited load capacity (about 5.5 lb)
VerdictThese magnetic curtain rods are an easy, damage-free way to hang sheers, cafe curtains or towels on metal doors and appliances. Setup is tool-free and quick, and the strong magnets hold reliably for everyday lightweight use. They’re best for thin, light fabrics and only work on magnetic surfaces — they won’t replace hardware for heavy drapery — but for renters and quick seasonal swaps they’re a co

Powerful magnets but stickiness varies
I used this on a seasonal metal door. On a sturdier metal surface the rod stays put, but it can slip on thinner or uneven doors. When it grips, the magnet is impressively strong.

Good for lightweight curtains on a metal door
These work well on our new metal door. The magnets are very strong and the thin rod holds a light-filtering curtain neatly. I didn’t notice the slim profile until after ordering, but it still looks good and adjusts easily.

Perfect fit for my front door
The rod snapped together easily and the magnet holds tight on my metal door. It adjusted to the exact width I needed and looks sleek. Should last a long time.

Works great for a metal door window
Ideal for the small window on my metal entry door. The magnets are strong and protected from scratching. It’s slimmer than standard rods but performs perfectly.

Very strong magnets and many applications
I put one of these on my refrigerator to display seasonal kitchen towels and it’s been great. Assembly was quick and the magnet keeps the rod firmly in place so towels don’t pull it down. It’s versatile — you could use it on a washer, dryer or any metal door and even add small hooks for lightweight items. The black finish looks nicer than a basic towel bar.

Surprisingly sturdy magnetic ends
These exceeded my expectations. The magnet caps are covered so they won’t scratch paint and they grip much better than I thought. Clean, simple design and they do the job well.

Easy to use with sheers, minor shipping hiccup
Did exactly what I needed for sheer curtains on a deck door. The magnets let me tweak height and placement without making holes. Diameter matches the listing and suits light fabrics. First shipment missed one rod, and the replacement took a few extra days, so I docked a star for shipping delays.

Simple and effective
Solid product — the magnets hold tight and the rod does exactly what it’s meant to do.
