Collapsible Linen File Organizer Boxes (Set of 2) — Portable Filing Crates
Review
Set includes two collapsible fabric file organizers with matching lids. Each box measures approximately 15.4 x 12.4 x 10 inches and is designed to accept standard paperwork, folders and many types of hanging files. The exterior is an easy-care linen-like fabric and the interior has a reinforced bottom panel to prevent sagging when loaded.
Built for portability and everyday use, these units feature stitched hand-holds so you can move them between shelves, desks or closets. Two metal rails are fitted across the top edges to support suspension folders, and there are card slots on the front for labeling contents. The fitted lids help keep dust off stored items and give the boxes a neat, finished appearance.
The boxes stack securely to make better use of vertical shelving and closets, and when empty they fold flat to save space for storage. While suitable for filing, they’re multi-purpose as well: use them to stow books, photos, kids’ artwork, seasonal clothing or craft supplies. Note: if you load suspension files that extend above the rail height, the lid may not sit flush.
These fabric organizers are intended to offer an attractive, lightweight alternative to bulkier filing furniture. Durable construction and practical features make them useful in home offices, bedrooms, dorms and communal storage areas.
Pros
- Collapsible for compact storage
- Reinforced bottoms and hanging rails
- Attractive linen-like finish with lids
Cons
- Lid may not close with tall hanging files
- Not all regional suspension files fit
- Fabric sides less rigid than metal cabinets
VerdictA versatile pair of fabric filing boxes that balance style and function. They’re roomy enough for letter and many legal documents, include rails and label pockets for tidy organization, and collapse flat when not needed. Best for those who want a lightweight, decorative alternative to metal cabinets; be aware that the lid may not fully close if you use suspension files that sit above the rail heig

Not suited for UK suspension files
Photos show hanging files but none are included, and UK suspension files won’t fit these boxes.

Well-made and attractive
Simple to assemble and holds plenty without bulging. Sides stay rigid and lids fit well. Label pocket is handy and the styling is why I’ll buy more.

Was unsure after reading mixed comments, but these are exactly what I wanted. Sturdy, well made, easy to assemble and the lids work fine. Much classier than ordinary file totes.

Doesn’t fit UK A4 hanging folders
Disappointed because UK A4 suspension files are too wide. Reviews from North America likely reflect slightly smaller files; customers in the UK should be warned.

Too narrow for suspension files
They’re pretty but not wide enough for the suspension files I needed. Seller didn’t reply about compatibility and returns were difficult, so I ended up stuck after 30 days.
